From News Center (Text and Photo by Qin Qiaoling from School of Trade and Tourism Management) Recently, the Center for Vocational Education Development, Ministry of Education, P. R. China (CVED) announced the list of the second batch of approved projects under the Vocational Education Major-specific Vertical Model Development Program. The project jointly submitted by the School of Trade and Tourism Management and the School of Electronic Information Engineering, titled "Vertical Model for Automotive Cross-Border All-media E-Commerce Operations", has been successfully selected in both the Foundational Project—Major-specific Vertical Model Training and the Featured Project—Teaching Reform and Innovation in Human-computer Interaction under the Background of Large Models.

The Vocational Education Major-specific Vertical Model Development Program focuses on the core elements of "teaching" and "learning" in vocational education. Within the e-commerce domain, it promotes deep university-enterprise collaboration to jointly build major-specific vertical models and application systems. The program aims to explore innovative models and sustainable mechanisms for AI-empowered teaching reform and talent cultivation in vocational education, to produce exemplary, replicable, and scalable outcomes and best practices, thereby advancing the digital transformation and high-quality development of vocational education in the era of artificial intelligence. LZPU's selected project will integrate existing course resources, build a specialized knowledge base, and deeply incorporate ASEAN policy, regulatory, and cultural databases. It will focus on developing an industry-leading "AI-based Decision Support System for Automotive Cross-Border E-Commerce" to help domestic automotive enterprises more precisely expand into ASEAN markets.

The successful approval of this project marks a strong recognition of LZPU's long-standing commitment to industry-education integration and the steady advancement of major development outcomes. It also represents another major achievement since the establishment of the AI Digital Creativity and Communication Center. Moving forward, LZPU will take this opportunity to strictly follow the Ministry of Education's relevant requirements, continue to empower vocational education with AI technologies, and promote high-standard, high-quality project implementation. The goal is to build an e-commerce vertical model with demonstrative and leading influence, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
