The discussions focused on resource integration, major development, and other aspects. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President of LZPU, attended the seminar together with representatives and heads from the International Exchange Department, Office of Academic Affairs, and relevant schools and departments.
During the seminar, Vice President Qiu extended a warm welcome to the BNTU delegation, emphasizing the university's strong commitment to international exchange and cooperation. He introduced LZPU's successful Chinese-foreign cooperative education program with Irkutsk National Research Technical University, noting that this visit provides a valuable opportunity to further deepen bilateral collaboration in vocational education and talent development, and to build a sustainable partnership mechanism that contributes to the high-quality development of vocational education in Guangxi. Vice Rector Yury spoke highly of LZPU's achievements in industry-education integration and cooperative education, noting that LZPU has laid a solid foundation for the planned joint institution based on its rich experience in industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation. He expressed his hope that, through this institution, the two universities will carry out regular cooperation in areas such as discipline development, faculty and student exchange, and joint research, with the goal of cultivating professionally skilled and globally minded interdisciplinary talents.
Both sides held in-depth discussions and reached a consensus on key issues such as major structure, curriculum alignment, faculty exchange, and training models, and officially launched the joint application process for the establishment of the cooperative educational institution.
The delegation visited several high-level specialized training centers on campus, including the Live-streaming E-commerce Industry Institute, the Smart Manufacturing Empowerment Center, the SGMW Intelligent Vehicles Training Center, the LiuGong-LZPU Global Customer Experience Center, the Artificial Intelligence Industry Institute, and the Lean Production Training Base. They highly recognized the university's well-established experience in leveraging industry-education integration to enhance talent cultivation, and expressed their hope to facilitate future exchanges in which BNTU's students could study at LZPU. This would further strengthen China-Belarus academic exchanges and cooperation between faculty and students.
Looking ahead, the university will establish a dedicated working team to visit BNTU for further coordination, and will make every effort to advance the application and preparation of the cooperative educational institution. This collaboration is expected to fill a gap in China-Belarus joint training of high-level technical and skilled personnel, expand the university's international cooperation in vocational education, and support LZPU in building a regionally leading and internationally recognized vocational and technical university brand.
