Attendees included Qin Donglin, Second-Level Inspector of the Liuzhou Municipal People’s Government; Gan Jinming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC LZPU Committee and President of LZPU; Qu Fan, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President; Ju Hongxia, Vice President; Yu Dawen, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Liudong New District; Zhao Congkui, Deputy Director and Member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau, and Member of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee; Liu Zuomei, General Manager of Human Resources Department at SGMW, along with other leaders from the Consortium’s leading organizations. The conference was presided over by Qu Fan.
In his address, Qin Donglin stated that all relevant parties in the Guangxi (Liuzhou) Automobile Industry-Education Consortium (the “Consortium”) must accurately address the needs of regional industrial development, deepen the development of overseas industry-education integration bases, and make every effort to build a China-ASEAN automobile industry cooperation hub.
Gan Jinming delivered a keynote report, introducing the Consortium’s development model characterized by “institutionalization of operational vehicles, shared utilization of industry-education resources, digitalization of enterprise services, and internationalization of talent cultivation” and highlighting its remarkable achievements in 2025. He further stated that in 2026, the Consortium will advance the “Four Major Action Plans” to provide stronger talent support and technical backing for the transformation and upgrading of Guangxi’s automobile industry, as well as for open cooperation with ASEAN.
Yu Dawen emphasized the need for the Consortium to seize new opportunities driven by the integration of “AI+” into the automobile industry, aiming to forge the “Liuzhou Model” of industry-education integration into a powerful engine for fostering new quality productive forces in the automobile sector.
Zhao Congkui noted that in 2025, the Consortium became a national benchmark for industry-education integration. In the next phase, the Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau, aligning with the broader objectives of building Guangxi into a strong manufacturing region and advancing Liuzhou’s “10+N” modern industrial system, will deepen industry-education integration to help achieve Liuzhou’s strategic goal of revitalizing its industrial strength and ushering in a new era of industrial excellence.
Liu Zuomei stated that SGMW, together with members of the Consortium, will focus on “innovation, quality, and collaboration” to make the Guangxi (Liuzhou) Automobile Industry-Education Consortium a national model for industry-education integration.
During the conference, the Consortium announced newly concluded school-enterprise cooperation projects. Two projects—the collaboration between LZPU and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and the Liudong New District Embodied Intelligence Training Ground—were signed on site. The Liuzhou Industry-Education Integration Research Institute and the Intelligent Island Manufacturing System Industry-Education Integration Practice Center were officially inaugurated.
The Liuzhou Industry-Education Integration Research Institute is the first prefecture-level high-end think tank and service platform for industry-education integration in Guangxi, providing theoretical and intellectual support for integration practices both within the city and across the region. The Intelligent Island Manufacturing System Industry-Education Integration Practice Center is deeply rooted in the globally pioneering Intelligent Island Manufacturing System (I²MS) developed by SGMW, and will enable the Consortium to make a significant step forward in the integrated development of technology application and talent cultivation. LZPU and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement to jointly establish an Artificial Intelligence Industry School, aiming to empower the upgrading of the local automobile industry. LZPU, together with the Liudong New District Management Committee, the National and Local Co-Built Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center, and Gotion High-tech, is building an embodied intelligence training ground for the lithium battery industry. This initiative provides a comprehensive end-to-end solution covering data collection, transmission, cleansing and labeling, management, and model training, and will draft industry application standards and talent cultivation standards for embodied intelligence in the lithium battery sector.
At the conference, experts and scholars such as Dr. Qin Zhongzheng from SGMW Automobile Co., Ltd., Wu Haibin, Senior Solution Architect of Huawei Manufacturing and Large Enterprise Corps, and Sun Jing, Director of the Industry-Education Project Team at Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and the National and Local Co-Built Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center, shared their practical experiences and innovative achievements in their respective research fields.
The successful hosting of the conference further broadened the dimensions of industry-education integration, strengthened collaborative innovation, and promoted the coordinated development of Liuzhou’s automobile industry upgrade with high-quality vocational education. This has opened a new path for innovative industry-education integration, contributing to high-quality regional economic development.
Representatives from Consortium member enterprises, leaders of education bureaus responsible for vocational education from cities such as Nanning, Guilin, Hechi, and Laibin, as well as heads of several universities and secondary vocational schools, attended the conference.
