Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of LZPU, attended the event. Leading officials and teachers from the International Exchange Office (International Education Institute) and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, representatives from the Liuzhou Foreign Affairs Office, police officers from Guantang Police Station, gathered with 150 international students staying on campus. The event opened with Chinese and foreign students and teachers singing the bilingual version of Happy New Year. The cheerful melody instantly warmed up the atmosphere. During the Spring Festival Mini-Lecture, bilingual hosts explained traditional Spring Festival customs through interesting interactive quizzes. In the talent show session, international students presented band performances, dances and songs with Spring Festival elements, winning continuous applause and cheers.

In the immersive fun fair “Unlock the Year of the Horse – Challenge Games”, participants tried “Fu” character rubbing and lucky ring-toss. Under the guidance of teachers, everyone created their own “Fu” artworks. The ring-toss area was bustling with activity, as Spring Festival gift packages attracted enthusiastic participation.

At the event, police officers from Guantang Police Station delivered a lecture on holiday safety and anti-fraud knowledge for international students, focusing on telecom fraud prevention, reminding everyone to stay alert and safeguard personal safety during the holiday.

At the end of the activity, all participants took group photos. The host extended best wishes of “Success in the Year of the Horse and All the Best”. Afterwards, everyone went to the campus cafeteria for a reunion dinner, feeling the warmth of home amid steaming delicious food.
